The 2025 Jubilee Year, which is known as the Year of Jubilee 2025: Pilgrims of Hope, is a Catholic celebration that runs from December 24, 2024 to January 06, 2026.
Jubilee officially closes on January 6, 2026, the Feast of the Epiphany, with the ceremonial Closing of the Holy Door of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. While the main Vatican closing is in January 2026, local diocesan celebrations end earlier, on December 28, 2025, the Feast of the Holy Family.

The Jubilee Year 2025 for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Harrisburg concludes locally with a special Solemn Closing Mass on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at 9:30 AM at the Cathedral Parish of Saint Patrick in Harrisburg.
This local closing event on December 28th allows the faithful in the Harrisburg Diocese to celebrate the blessings of the Jubilee Year before the universal closing in Rome on
January 6, 2026.

Pope Francis stated in his February 2022 letter announcing the Jubilee 2025:
“We must fan the flame of hope that has been given us and help everyone to gain new strength and certainty by looking to the future with an open spirit, a trusting heart and far-sighted vision.
The forthcoming Jubilee can contribute greatly to restoring a climate of hope and trust as a prelude to the renewal and rebirth that we so urgently desire; that is why I have chosen as the motto of the Jubilee, Pilgrims of Hope..."
JUBILEE YEAR 2025
The logo for the 2025 Jubilee Year, Pilgrims of Hope, has multiple meanings:FOUR FIGURESThe logo features four stylized figures from the four corners of the world, embracing each other to symbolize the unity of all people.CROSSThe cross in the logo is shaped like a sail, which is a symbol of Christian hope. The cross also ends in the shape of an anchor, another symbol of hope. The cross bends down towards humanity, offering hope and certainty.WAVESThe rough waves beneath the figures symbolize that life's journey is not always smooth.
ANCHORThe anchor is a metaphor for hope. In maritime jargon, the "hope anchor" is the spare anchor used to stabilize a ship during storms.
MOTTO
The motto for the 2025 Jubilee Year is Peregrinantes in Spem, which means "Pilgrims of hope". It is written in green at the bottom of the logo.
The Jubilee Year is a time to re-establish relationships with God, with each other, and with creation.
